VENTURE CAPITAL
A healthy tradition of venture capital funding should be made . The fund can be formed as a cooperative bid between various banks .This will help realize hundreds of ideas especially in the emerging .The necessary checks for selecting projects with clear merits should be there. An empowered committee with top scientists ,technocrats, financial consultants, venture capital specialists and other fund managers , bankers, Government officials should be constituted to sanction the funds.( Yes already Kerala Venture Capital fund is there – but it is a very small organization – 20 crore only - compared to what we need)

PARKS

The concept of making parks for promoting investment in various sectors is already in vogue and is ideal for a state like Kerala where large areas of land is difficult to get unless through Government interference . This should be extended to the realm of local self Governments also where each panchayat or Municipality can also identify and acquire land for such parks which are suited to the locality .

INSTITUTES
We should develop World Class institutes which will propel our “Knowledge power” and “Intellectual Capital”. We already have IIM .We should have IIT and institutes in various important branches of Science and Technology. We should have Universities for Medicine , Law and Technology. World class institutes for Information technology ,Biotechnology ,Nanotechnolgy , Medical technology ,Genetic Engineering ,Marine/harbour engineering and Maritime technology should be started .
